The award winners receive this plaque for their school
Media stories suggest millions of children and young people dread going back to school because of bullying. But it does not have to be this way.
In our secondary schools, including those not yet awarded the BIG Award, 87% of students think their school deals with bullying 'very well'. Around half of the students who had ever been bullied told us it happened 'a long time ago'.
In effective schools, bullying is reduced, cyberbullying is low. Don't believe that it is 'endemic' as some say! We know it can be different.
Effective schools are three and a half times more likely to get the bullying to stop, diversity is valued and students have strong involvement in the strategy. But we want even these figures to improve! Why not sign up and change the landscape for your pupils?

'The BIG Award is an excellent comprehensive process to engage the whole school population in Anti Bullying. The website provides information and great resources as well as the stages necessary to implement strategies to ensure a whole school approach. The support is fantastic and the training is great for staff and pupils as it is tailored to your needs. I would recommend that all schools use/gain this award to ensure the whole school understands what bullying is and how to develop www.omegawatchreview.com effective practice
